Interpretation / Description

Sarvadurgati Parishodhana Mandalas. The painting was commissioned for the funeral services of Panchen Tsultrim Ozer (born in the 16th century [P10454]) by his student Gyaltsen Ozer.

Three mandalas from the Sarvavid Mahavairochana set explained in the Sarvadurgati Parishodhana Tantra of the Yoga classification.

Lower left: Vajrapani and the Four Guardian Kings Mandala.
Lower right: Vajrapani and the Eight Dikpalas Mandala.
Upper right: Body-Shakyamuni with Eight Bodhisattvas.
