Interpretation / Description

Dromton, Gyalwa'i Jungne (1005-1064 A.D.) the most famous Tibetan student of Lord Atisha and also the founder of Reting Monastery pictured to the left. At the top left is Lord Atisha. At the top right is the wrathful meditational deity Achala in a standing posture.

This painting is from a famous set of paintings illustrating the previous lives of the Dalai Lama incarnation lineage.
