Interpretation / Description

Tibetan Local Protector Goddess - unidentified.

The Goddess is peaceful in appearance, white in colour, with one face and two arms. In the upraised right hand she holds a long-life arrow decorated with a mirror and multi-coloured ribbons. In the left hand held to the heart is a large golden mirror with a handle. She wears crown, ribbons and flowers in the hair, earrings, cloths of many colours and shoes, riding atop a yak.

At the top center is the primordial Buddha Vajradhara. At the left is Padmasambhava. On the right is Tsongkapa. Below those two figures are two more teachers wearing monastic robes and yeloow pandita hats. It is likely that the figure on the left is a Dalai Lama and the figure on the right a Panchen Lama.

(See the similar looking Bon Mountain Goddess from Gyalrong in Eastern Tibet, Yulri Nyen Cham Karmo and compare the two side by side).
