Interpretation / Description

Abhayakaragupta (Abhayakara Gupta), composition #4, as part of a painting set depicting the incarnation lineage of the Panchen Lamas.

4. Abhayakara Gupta (11th century) Iconography: [1] Abhayakara Gupta is attired as a monk and wears a pandita hat. At the top right is the siddha [2] Ratnasambhava. At the top left is [3] Vajrayogini. At the bottom right is [4] Panjarnata Mahakala holding a staff.
