A Donation Page for Himalayan Art Resources has been added. The page contains information for making donations directly over the internet, by cheque (check) or wire transfer. Thank you for your support.
From 1997 until April 30, 2015 the Himalayan Art Resources website (HAR) was solely funded by the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation. As of May 1, 2015 Himalayan Art Resources Inc. is now operated as a not-for-profit 501 c 3 registered in the USA. The new corporation and its Board of Directors assumed full responsibility of the website on that date, May 1.
The mission of HAR has unwaveringly always been to create a comprehensive education and research database, a virtual museum, and to engage the broader culture from an art perspective.
In accomplishing the mission, in part, the HAR Team believes in free access for all and to this end the website does not charge membership fees or offer subscription services. For current and future funding HAR solely relies on the generosity of institutional benefactors along with donations from the public. These donations go towards covering all the costs of expanding and growing the content of the HAR website resource.
A very big thank you to all those individuals that have been so generous over the past few months.
