Monastic Shirt (Rounded Edges) | Monastic AppearanceThe square shoulder pieces are called elephant ears. The two open folds crossed over and down the front are called the elephant tusks. Under the two armpits are eighty-four pleats representing the Eighty-four Mahasiddhas. The shirts are typically maroon, orange, red, or yellow coloured. The Bon religion prefers a blue colour.
