In the study of Himalayan Art three dimensional figurative objects made of metal are often referred to as a 'bronze.’ On the HAR website the term 'bronze' which technically refers to a specific combination of metals is not used to describe these figures. Three dimensional metal figurative objects are referred to as ‘sculpture’ or 'figurative sculpture.' If the medium is obvious then the work is further catalogued by describing the metal as cast or created from gold, silver or copper.
