The various forms of Green Tara listed above are considered separate from those of the Tara Removing the Eight Fears and the five or more systems of Twenty-one Taras.

The three principal forms of Green Tara are identified by [1] the hand in the gesture of giving, [2] the hand in the gesture of protection, and [3] the Three Deity Configuration.
