Legs are complicated subjects in Himalayan art primarily because of religious iconography and the many variable standing and seated postures. The subjects that directly relate to a figurative form are the three moods and animal featured for the general shape of the legs. Seated, standing or kneeling are the three main postures. Considerations unrelated to the overall figure are legs as hand attributes and decorations.
